About RTFC
Our Mission
Raise Tibetan Flags Campaign (RTFC) is a movement which aims to
promote peace and awareness through raising Tibetan flags worldwide.
The ultimate objective of RTFC is to support Tibetans innate right
to raise Tibetan flags inside Tibet. Raising a Tibetan flag is a
simple yet powerful act of solidarity for both Tibetans and Tibet
supporters alike. Since not one Tibetan flag is allowed in Tibet,
our mission is to raise millions everywhere else, in every country
throughout the world.
Our Vision
Upon our inception, RTFC has existed as an apolitical movement which
aspires to unite all Tibet support groups in Dharamsala and abroad
under the Tibetan national flag. Since RTFC believes that public
awareness is the foundation for social change and Tibetan flags
can act as the catalyst for dialogue, it is our goal for all Tibet
supporters to stand in solidarity by raising Tibetan flags in every
community worldwide. Raising Tibetan flags not only keeping the
dialogue about Tibet alive and facilitating the preservation of
Tibet’s unique cultural heritage which is being systematically
destroyed inside Tibet. Join us by raising a Tibetan flag today!
Our History
RTFC was established in 2008, one week after the events of the 49th
commemoration of the Tibetan Uprising on March 10th. On March 17th,
RTFC launched Tibetan National Flag Day and distributed 4,000 Tibetan
flags in Dharamsala. In efforts to pay homage for those who have
suffered or died inside Tibet, RTFC established its mission of promoting
peace and awareness through raising Tibetan flags worldwide.
About Us
RTFC is a project of Rogpa Charitable Trust, a registered Dharamsala
based nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture
and empowering low-income Tibetan refugees to become self-sufficient.
RTFC is run by a team of dedicated volunteer staff members.
